Tecnica e lavoro fondono vitigno, ambiente e territorio per ottenere le particolari espressioni qualitative dei nostri prodotti. Alla base del nostro impegno c’è il principio che ogni vitigno raggiunga la sua massima espressione qualitativa solo in certi ambienti.
Un vino di eccellenza può essere concepito solo con una filosofia di lavoro che partendo dalle scelte viticole passi attraverso un attento lavoro di cantina in grado di conservare l’identità delle uve.
Il vino è magia. Quella magia che ci spinge a stare in vigna con il gelo dell’inverno, a camminare lungo i filari per ore sotto il sole cocente, a lavorare in cantina con il freddo e l’umidità. Tutto svanisce davanti al suono di una bottiglia che si stappa, all’attesa per i profumi nascosti in un bicchiere, al sorriso di chi lo porta al naso, curioso e impaziente.

La nostra storia nasce nel 2009 con la vendemmia di Sangiovese e Cabernet Franc. Da allora la nostra passione ci ha portato qui.
Da tre vigneti, uno in Chianti Classico, uno a San Gimignano ed uno in Val di Chiana, nascono i nostri vini. Pochi ettari coltivati con grande cura.

“An opulent, yet steely blend of sangiovese and cabernet franc, where an intense bead of cherry/berry fruit takes center stage, but there’s plenty of cool, cigar-humidor character lurking in the background. Full-bodied, intense and juicy with super cleanliness written all over the palate. The tannins are well-integrated, allowing the fruit free passage through to the long finish, picking up fresh mineral notes along the way. Not overly complex, but really well constructed. Supple and succulent palate that is elegant rather than powerful – as normally you would expect of these ‘Supertuscans’. Fine, coating tannins that stick to the palate. “Spesso un’idea, prima di aprirsi al mondo, è un sogno.
Quello di Paolo Marchi, agronomo ed enologo per importanti realtà toscane, era produrre dei vini propri.
Di formazione classica ma col Sangiovese nel destino decide dar materia al progetto Secondocerchio nel 2009, il primo vino a nascere sarà un blend di Sangiovese e Cabernet Franc di nome Rubis poi, oltre al metodo classico “9”, verranno il rosato Archè ed il secondo rosso, il Catturasogni.
Quest’ultimo si compone per il 55% di Sangiovese, per il 30% di Merlot e per un 15% di Cabernet Franc, affina per 12-14 mesi in piccoli fusti di rovere e matura in bottiglia per almeno altri otto mesi.
La 2014 nel bicchiere si presenta di un bel rosso rubino carico, la rotazione lenta del liquido prelude a sensazioni molto materiche, al naso le famiglie olfattive si susseguono distintamente, in principio tanta confettura di more poi fiori appassiti, chiodo di garofano e cannella. In gustativa l’attacco è sfuggente, il sorso si ricompone a centro bocca dove si presenta molto rotondo caratteristica questa che aiuta ad equilibrare la viva acidità ed il tannino ancora giovane. Finale intenso e abbastanza persistente.
Vino originale ma non complicato, complesso ma allo stesso tempo di facile beva, un vino che ha trasformato in realtà un’idea nata tanti anni fa.
